tvN’s weekend drama “Mr. Queen” shared new stills of Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun ahead of the upcoming episode!

“Mr. Queen” is a historical fantasy-comedy drama about a man from modern times whose soul gets trapped in the body of a queen from the Joseon dynasty. Shin Hye Sun stars as Kim So Yong, the Joseon queen with the soul of Blue House chef Jang Bong Hwan trapped inside her. Kim Jung Hyun plays her husband King Cheoljong, who is a weak and ineffective king on the outside but is stronger and sharper than he appears.

Previously, Kim So Yong attempted to adjust to the palace, despite the fact that she was actually a free-spirited man from modern times. She proposed a “no touching” rule to the king, and just when they were getting comfortable acting as a couple only in public, Kim So Yong snuck out of the palace dressed as a man. She came face-to-face with King Cheoljong, who is disguised as someone else, and viewers are keen to find out if she will recognize him or not.

In the new stills, Kim So Yong and King Cheoljong have a tense encounter. Cheoljong points his sword at her, and his piercing gaze studies her nervous expression. Kim So Yong is flustered but she avoids eye contact and dares not provoke him. King Cheoljong suspects she has been following him, but Kim So Yong is just worried that people might find out she snuck out of the palace.

Another set of stills shows Kim So Yong brandishing her immaculate cooking skills. Queens usually don’t appear in the royal kitchen, and the servants become frantic when she shows up out of the blue. Kim So Yong draws up her sleeves and uses her experience as a chef in the modern world to create a superb dish. Her royal subjects can’t help but stare at her in awe. Her expression is full of determination and confidence, and she smirks as if she has been waiting for this very moment.

The next episode of “Mr. Queen” will air on December 19 at 9 p.m. KST.

  tvN’s “ True Beauty ” has shared an adorable new glimpse behind the scenes of filming! On January 14, the popular drama adaptation of the hit webtoon released a fun behind-the-scenes video of its starring cast. The clip begins with leads  Moon Ga Young  and  ASTRO ’s  Cha Eun Woo , who star as Lim Ju Gyeong and Lee Su Ho respectively, preparing to film an outdoor scene in which Lee Su Ho boosts Lim Ju Gyeong’s self-confidence by telling her that she’s “enough” exactly the way she is. Moon Ga Young notes that Cha Eun Woo didn’t hold her hand, as he was supposed to in the script, and she jokingly complains, “What happened?   On January 9, the 35th Golden Disc Awards kicked off its annual two-day ceremony to commemorate some of the biggest releases in music in 2020. January 9 was the Digital Song Division, while the Album Division will be held on January 10. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the ceremony is being held without a live audience.
